The unlikely friendship between cooking icon Martha Stewart and rap veteran Snoop Dogg has inspired a new television series, Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.

The show first aired on VH1 in November 2016, but the pair have been friends for a number of years prior to creating this new show.

Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party is a cooking show like you have never seen before. Each show is centered around a themed meal that they both put their own spin on and also features celebrity guests to help prepare the meals.

The distinct differences in Snoop and Martha’s personalities is what gives this show it’s authentic feel, the blend of Snoop’s OG pimp swagger with Martha’s sweet, homegrown elegance provides for a hilarious 22 minutes.

Each show has at least two celebrity guests and a few shows come with performances from various artists like Remy Ma and Anderson Paak. The chosen guests portray the same personality differences as the hosts, with guests like Ice Cube, Seth Rogen, Bella Thorne, Kathy Griffin, 50 Cent, and Ashley Graham.

With ideas of conformity being encouraged in today’s society it is refreshing to watch a show that promotes our differences and celebrates them by putting a group of unlikely friends together to have a dinner party.

As the series progresses the laughing never ceases and the feeling that you’re right there with them doesn’t either.

I would highly recommend this series to anyone who isn’t afraid to laugh and that wants to watch an authentic show, not one that is clearly a 100% scripted.
