On May 3rd 2017, founder and head CEO of Facebook; Mark Zuckerberg announced that facebook will be hiring 3000 employees for their global community operations team.

These actions will be taken due to the sudden increase in complaints involving the posting of videos with suicidal and other violent content.

By hiring the new employee’s, Facebook will be adding to their 4500 employees already on the globe community team.

In a facebook post, Mark Zuckerberg writes,” It’s heartbreaking, and I’ve been reflecting on how we can do better for our community.”

Facebook hopes to limit their complaints against violent material and achieve a safer community.
